How It Works

The OurCoin Classic (OCC) token is an asset backed cryptocurrency. The OCC team seeks to provide a two step approach to dealing with two of the most troubling and inter-generational issues facing humanity; sustainable living and climate change.

The first step, the OurCoin Classic ecosystem, seeks to leverage the many benefits of the blockchain utilizing a democratic, decentralized structure to provide funding to ground breaking pioneers of environmentally progressive solutions.

The second step is far grander in scope (It’s Huuuugee!); the introduction of a global ethical and sustainability standard.  Information related to the environmental and societal impact of each product's production, use and eventual obsolescence will be distilled into a numerical rating. This rating (standard) will empower consumers to consciously direct their purchasing power to sustainably produced goods.

How Token Holder Benefits

Token holders profit from the value increase in digital assets through a proof-of-membership in the fund. In addition, they participate in the distribution of profits as an annual dividend. Token holders receive their dividend through a smart contract as crypto or fiat payment.
