Gifto (GTO) is a decentralized universal gifting protocol, virtual gifts can be created and customized for content creators. Virtual gifts can be purchased using GTO tokens, which are sent by viewers/fans to content creators on all of the major social networks including Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube.
Gifto is built on smart contracts and blockchain technology, that will create a decentralized consumer-driven virtual economic system. Gifto is still yet to release this protocol but it is supposed to be released on Asia Innovation Group (the company behind the Gifto) later this year. Gifto’s universal gifting protocol is “envisioned” as being a self-governing ecosystem for virtual gifts to be created, curated, tracked, bought, sent and exchanged across media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and UpLive. Gifto’s Protocol consists of a gift which they consider a smart virtual gift, self-executing virtual assets based on smart contracts that live on the Ethereum blockchain. Gift Store a fan can purchase a gift for a content creator of their choice.
Certain gifts can be customized by the content creator, some gifts will be worth more than other gifts adding a value to these “virtual icons”. Gift Inventory allows users to store gifts which is available to both fans and content creators. Gifto Token’s (GTO) is used to buy these gifts and GTO will be stored in the wallet which is simply a part of the overall fast transaction systems that are required to support a real large-scale commercial deployment.
After looking through their roadmap, white paper and website I found nothing that makes this project stand out, I couldn’t find any open-source codes and their website was very small and had little to no information about what their protocol does. They have no proof this is all going to work for all we know they could be scammers. If you’re a new user visiting their site you’re going to learn they make virtual items for content creators that’s it nothing unique or impressing.
Overall this project has no real purpose, so you can get virtual items people don’t care about some shitty icons that sit in their wallet and they have no purpose may be a bit of value but that won’t be stable for long. They have no open-source information and their white paper just repeats the same thing over again “Virtual items”. Be careful about this it looks really sketchy to me, could be another scam but the future only tells the truth.
