Review

Exchange and a platform

Komodo is doing a range of services, like a exchange and a platform for building coins on. It seems like the thing most other coins are doing. The team behind Komodo sound genuine and like they are putting in the hard work.

Will be better once they get more coins available on there exchange. Not sure if they are worthy of a top 100 spot just yet.

Komodo is a coin you can mine with a reasonable return.

Products and Services

Smart Chain Composer

The Antara Composer on AWS allows anyone to customize and launch a Smart Chain in less than 1 minute, complete with full seed and mining nodes.

Security Service

Delayed Proof of Work (dPoW) security mechanism recycles the giant hash rate of the Bitcoin network to provide security to every dPoW-protected chain.

AtomicDEX

Komodo’s industry-leading atomic swap technology is the only truly P2P form of trading available today. No centralized exchanges, middlemen, or third-parties.

White Label Wallets

Komodo’s Antara Integration Layer offers several white label products to help you go to market faster, including a white label multi-asset wallet and several more solutions.

Technology

Antara Framework

Framework for end-to-end blockchain development featuring Smart Chains, modules to implement business logic and an integration layer.

Delayed PoW

Delayed Proof of Work is a secondary consensus mechanism that recycles the giant hash rate of the Bitcoin network through a series of cross-chain notarizations.

Atomic Swaps

Atomic swaps are secure, peer-to-peer exchanges of digital assets. There are no middlemen, intermediaries, or centralized exchanges to deal with.

Platform Sync

Platform Synchronizations allow cross-chain interaction throughout the ecosystem, enabling scalability and interoperability for all projects.

Composable Solutions

A Fluid Set of Resources

Composability is a design principle focused on providing a wide array of components, which can be activated as needed and used in different configurations to meet the unique demands of a specific use case.

With Komodo, Smart Chains provide the resource pool from which all blockchain-based apps, games, and software draw. If your project starts growing and your apps need more resources, simply add additional Smart Chains to increase the size of the pool. It is an efficient and fluid way to power any blockchain-based products.

Independently Deployed Solutions

Every Smart Chain is completely independent from all other blockchains. There is no vendor lock-in and no dependence on the Komodo chain or coin. Transaction fees are always paid in each Smart Chain’s native coin and, as every chain has its own decentralized network and consensus rules, transactions are processed in isolation from other Smart Chains.

Modularity & Flexibility

Komodo’s Antara Framework provides each Smart Chain with a library of modules. Modules are coded in C/C++ and are thus Turing complete, so anything imaginable can be coded into a Smart Chain. The desired modules can be activated, with each module offering a series of Remote Procedure Calls (RPC), which can then be used to code blockchain-based applications in any programming language.

Agility and Rapid Development

With the Antara Composer, you can customize and launch your own purpose-built Smart Chain, complete with any number of seed nodes and mining nodes, in just minutes on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. Komodo also offers white label products, including a multi-coin wallet, DEX, and block explorer, to accelerate time to market.

Technical Overview

The Komodo blockchain is a fork of the ZCash blockchain, which itself was forked from the Bitcoin blockchain, making Komodo a descendent of Bitcoin. It includes the zk-snark technology that Zcash was built upon, and adds a delayed proof of work consensus algorithm to make Komodo more robust and secure.

The ultimate goal of Komodo is to create an entire ecosystem comprised of diverse partnerships that will send the platform forward into the future. Because it was designed to be used by developers of any level and in any industry it is extremely versatile.

  3. If asked, allow the manager on your device.
  4. Find Komodo in the app catalog.
  5. Click the Install button of the app.

    • The app installation is confirmed.

The Komodo app can export your extended public key (xpub) to web apps in a U2F compatible web browser (Chrome, Opera or Firefox). The xpub is privacy-sensitive information, as all public addresses can be generated from it.

Trezor

As for Trezor, installing is really simple. To properly install it users should attach the unit to the computer. After that continue with installing the  bridge which allows the Trezor to join with the computer. The first step is to connect the Trezor to device’s USB slot with the cable given in the box.  After that, go to myTrezor.com and proceed with installing the browser extension. Trezor can also be used on Android or an iPhone, or on a Windows or Mac computer. Now, initiate the extension and myTrezor will direct you to pick a PIN. After this, you will notice nine buttons but the numbers are hidden. After this, users should check the Trezor’s screen to recognize which numbers are in which place because it switches every time. Now set the PIN. Shortly after, Trezor should present a 24-word wallet “seed”. In short, one word at a time. Note down this seed and save it carefully. If your Trezor device malfunctions or is lost, you can utilize the seed to reconstruct the complete wallet. This video explains how to set up your trezor quite well.
