Ravencoin is one of the best platforms for peer to peer transfer of assets using a blockchain technology. This platform is focused only on privacy and it also specializes in asset transfer.
You may be thinking that when I can transfer assets over various blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum, then why should I bother with Ravencoin (RVN)? The answer is those other blockchains are not designed for asset transfers whereas Ravencoin (RVN) is. Since it specializes in asset transfers, Ravencoin (RVN) is able to remove problems that are normally associated with other blockchains.
Create/trade in real-world or digital assets
Furthermore, Ravencoin (RVN) also ensures you can create as well as trade in any real-world or digital asset on the network. Thus, whether you want to trade or create in assets like gold bars or land deeds or even digital assets like gaming items and software licenses, you will do well to use Ravencoin (RVN).
A fork of Bitcoin
Ravencoin (RVN) happens to be a fork of Bitcoin and so uses the Bitcoin UTXO model. Blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum suffer from limitations. However, when you use other blockchains, you can attach assets to their parent blockchains and in this way ensure maximum security. However, there is a downside to this in that when you want to exchange an asset you will need to spend the base currency for the associated transaction to complete. When network fees are high, this can prove to be very costly.
Operates its own blockchain
What’s more, these networks also do not protect you against regular issues that you have to deal with when transferring assets. Ravencoin (RVN), in spite of being a fork of Bitcoin, operates its own blockchain. This is what sets it apart.
Open source project
Ravencoin (RVN) is not developed by any dedicated team because it happens to be an open source project that is led by core developers who launched the project in the beginning of this year. Ravencoin (RVN) can be compared to its most similar project called Bytom. Both these platforms have similar missions and they also function very similarly. However, they are also different in many ways and though Bytom held its ICO and will allow you to do ASIC mining, Ravencoin does not do this.
Ravencoin (RVN) is a relatively new platform and so there is not much trading data that can be analyzed. In its history, the price has jumped two times. The first time it jumped was at the end of March when it reached an all-time high and the second spike took place at the start of May this year. In both instances, the spike did not last very long and the prices dropped to the levels they were prior to the spikes.
Since then, the prices have stabilized. While other blockchains promise a lot, Ravencoin (RVN) is only offering one thing and that is tokenized transfer of assets. It is a young project that has many competitors. At present it is hard to say exactly how successful Ravencoin will turn out to be.
