Veros is a blockchain-based fundraising platform that encourages philanthropy. They choose to use a digital currency in order to stay open to the entirety of the world without facing any exchange-related issues. This is especially critical as the platform does not charge any fees. All of the money is channeled directly to the cause.
The Veros platform comes with an integrated wallet that charges zero fees for exchange. This makes donating on the platform as simple as clicking a mouse button or tapping on a screen.
The platform has in-browser advertisements that are used as a monetization channel. Veros willingly channels 50% of the revenue into ongoing charity fundraisers. The fundraiser that is to receive the money is decided via a community vote.
Veros have developed a web-based platform and decentralized apps for both iOS and Android in order to make the platform available to any and all willing to commit to a good cause. These solutions are used to make fundraising simple, decentralized and community-driven.
The apps for the platform are also used to display advertising to raise funds for the company. As mentioned above, 50% of income goes to the charity of the community’s choosing.
Veros is an interesting project. Not because it is a community-driven fundraiser, but because it is built from a hoax. The previous founders simply took the money and disappeared into the night leaving a disappointed community behind.
The old project was then rebuilt from scratch and the tokens were re-designed to – and I quote – proliferate philanthropy, but the events of the past have left many of us questioning the very essence of the project as a whole.
That being said, Veros is open about its history and does not try to hide the sins of the (hopefully) past from new users. This level of transparency encourages a new sparkle of trust.
That said, Veros is now a free fundraiser platform that’s funneled by ad revenue so there isn’t much for you to worry about anyway.
Daily trade volumes have exceeded $1 million during the day of writing this review indicating that there truly is new hope for the project. That said, the launch of Presale Area of Tokens is planned for the first quarter of 2019 so we might see an even larger increase in volumes. The goals of the project seem legit and their new take on fundraising is inspiring. We guess that time and time alone will reveal more about the project. Until it comes, we cannot say to our readers that we are 100% certain in Veros.
